Support Chicago Cat Rescue During Food Drive

For the entire month of December, Chicago Cat Rescue is holding a food drive to collect Wellness cat food for the cats in our care. We are looking specifically for 12.5 oz cans, both Chicken and Turkey. These two flavors are the favorites of our cats, especially the kittens.  One litter of kittens can go through 5 large cans (12.5 ounce) a day! With all the kittens and cats in our care right now, that is a lot of food!

Why do we feed our cats Wellness? Wellness is a high protein, human-grade brand which provides all the nutrients our cats need to stay strong and healthy. Wellness is grain, corn, soy and gluten free, meaning it doesn't have many of the ingredients that cats have allergic reactions to. Since cats are obligate carnivores they don't need to eat grains, which makes Wellness canned food a step closer to what they would naturally be eating. Wellness is also available at a number of stores, making it easy for you to purchase.

If you are interested in donating food for our food drive you can drop it off at Mid North Animal Hospital (2212. N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60614) or order it online and have it delivered there. Donate food in the name of a loved one this holiday season, or in the name of a cat who has everything!

Pick up a case, or a few cans of food and drop them off at Mid North to make a donation in someone's honor, to take care of your end of year holiday giving, and to make a huge difference in the life of a few deserving cats.
